UGLY Christmas Sweater Birthday Party!!

This year I really wanted to have a party at our apartment for the fist time so we decided to have a christmas party. Since my birthday was in the same month we decided to celebrate that as well with all our friends so we threw an "Ugly Christmas Sweater Birthday Party".

Stephen and I decided that DI would be the best bet to find the ugliest sweaters. We got there and I'm pretty sure that all the ugly sweaters had pretty much been picked over because there was some pretty good looking stuff in there. "Dang it, WHERE ARE ALL THE UGLY ONES"!!! So Steve and I decided we would make our own, so we browsed around for a good hour and found the Christmas section with all the old Christmas junk, and this is what we finally walked out with. And yes we are going to HOT GLUE everything on!!! And yes you guessed it that gold stuff IS tinsel!
With lots of pondering, Steve and I pull out our crafting skills and go to town!

Finally everyone started showing up so we started the games and fun!

Stephen is trying to stay a far distance from the candles so the tinsel and snowflakes on his lovely Christmas Sweater don't go up in flames. That would be the end of one UGLY Christmas Sweater!

OUR UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER WINNERS!!!!!

MIKE:Mke had such a lovely snowflake snowman sweater that really captured the spirit of Christmas!!! lol I'm pretty sure he said he stole it from his mom!
SARA:Sara also had quite the sweater. The nutcrackers on the sweater reminded me of the nutcracker play it really takes you back to your childhood memories.
(It was definately a winner!!! ha ha) Also Aaron's tie was a nice touch!!

Thanks everyone for coming to our party!! We had so much fun being with all of you guys!! Merry Christmas!!!

The BIG 23 came fast!!!!

December is such a busy time of year for us! Well.....actually form October 31st to Jan 2nd, is super crazy for us! We have Halloween, our Anniversary, Thanksgiving, my Birthday, Christmas and then finally New Years! I love it but it's so crazy around here!!

The holiday that was celebrated last was December 14th, my 23rd birthday. It was so fun! When I got to work, Katie had put up balloons and decoration! She made really yummy cupcakes, and had given me some really awesome perfume!! She's the best!! Tricia had given me some car spray for my wind shield, since the heat doesn't work in my car, with the spray I wont have to really scrap my windshield!! YAY!!

Stephen of course spoiled me rotten. The only thing I was looking forward to was going out to dinner at our favorite place to eat......The Bombay House. It's the best Indian food I've ever eaten, and we've made it kind of a tradition to eat there on special occasions, since it can get pricey! We went out to dinner with Steve's parents, and Steve's sister and her husband Shane. It was fun just being able to be out with family enjoying each others company eating really yummy food! Thanks everyone who made my day so special!!

Stephen bought me a P-coat that I've been wanting and a really cute scarf to go with it!! I just loved them!!

Steve's parents gave me a lovely card with a gift inside!!! Thanks Mom and Dad!!
Steve's Sister and her family gave me this cute apron that she had made, with hot mats to match!! Thanks Sue they were perfect!!

Those black shoes I'm wearing are courtesy of my Mom and Dad:P They sent me some Birthday money and as soon as I saw these shoes I new they wanted to live in my closet!!!!:D Thanks mom and dad for the gift and Birthday Wishes!!

CHRISTMAS TIME......JINGLE-LINGLE-LING!!!

TIS THE SEASON!!
Christmas time was always so crazy with my family, but was always so fun with so many people around! This year again we are staying in Utah to have Christmas, but will be taking off the morning after to Oregon to visit the Clan:D
Stephen and I were so anxious to get Christmas started that we went to get a Christmas tree 2 days after Thanksgiving. We found such a cute little tree that we decorated together!
Happy holidays everyone!

Holidays #1 & 2

This year I can hardly keep up with all of the seasons, so these posts are a little overdue.

First of all Halloween! Stephen doesn't really like Halloween, but this year was so much fun for him I think. The Wrights had an awesome fun Halloween party! Stephen dressed up as a 70's guy and I dressed up as a football player with Stephen's old Timpview football jersey. We went on a fun scavenger hunt which our team won!! Thanks Steph and Jake for putting on such a great party!!

Thanksgiving was really fun. We stayed in Utah to celebrate with Steve's Sister's family and his Mom and Dad. Stephen's sister Sue cooked thanksgiving dinner for all of the family and it was Yummy:) After a great dinner together, we all played games and enjoyed each others company!

1 year of AMAZINGNESS!!

This year has been quite eventful, if I don't say so myself! Stephen and I tied the knot, we've had our share of extra curricular activities during the summer, Steve was called to ward clerk which calls for 6:00 AM meetings he he since we start church at 8am, and I got called to 2nd counselor in the Relief Society, so this year has been a busy one!!

To add to that, the holidays have been so fun, and yet Christmas is still to come! I have a few more blogs to write about that but as for now I wanted to take the time to tell my husband how much I've loved this 1st year of being married!! There's been some temper tantrums......(only by me of course :)) lots of fun, and laughs and I'm so glad that we've been able to share all of that together!!

1 YEAR DOWN, FOREVER TO GO BABE!!!

Summer TRIP #4

MMMMmmmm!! The best thing to eat while camping is oatmeal, and to make it better, fresh blueberries!!! Well this is way over-due, but finally they're on here! Stephen and I have had the best summer EVER and have been all over Utah! We went with some friends for our Last hike of the summer! ZIONS National Park, ANGELS LANDING!

After our camping and hiking that day, Stephen and I were not wanting to leave yet, and plus the FIRST BIG BYU game was going to start just an hour after we had gotten done hiking so we decided to find a place to change clothes and a yummy place to eat and watch the game in ST. George. Thanks to IGGYS we had the best time watching the game together on a huge BIG SCREEN with a booth up front and center! BYU winning was the icing on the cake!!
We then left to Sand Hollow to camp for one more night and to just relax and enjoy the lake!

We also had THE BEST CAMPING FOOD......HOT DOGS (the ones w/the cheese in the middle. Those are my favorite!!) We also brought a flotation device ha ha, I've had this thing for forever and pretty sure it has over 10 holes in it so stephen would blow it up we would take it out and wait for it to be almost unfloatable then steohen would blow it up again, and again haha! We discovered that the water was so clear so we got our goggles and we snorkeled using the dragon as something to hold onto as we put our face in the water to look at all the fish.
